The transformation of this underutilized narrow backyard, aesthetically and practically, creating physical and well-designed psychological depth was only accomplished through the collaboration that we had with our clients Mike & Lynn. The result is a gorgeous Carlsbad family fun entertainment backyard complete with a pool, spa, a modern patio structure extending right off the house, and a full outdoor kitchen space with a state-of-the-art pizza oven and smoker.

 

The new contemporary bi-fold doors opened up from the family room into their backyard which not only invites one into their outdoor space but also opens the area and allows them to step strategically into their firepit space.  This elegant pool is not only set up for daytime family entertainment but at night offers a glamourous ambiance for adult entertaining. One is not just mesmerized by the dancing light of the fire pit but also by the elegance of the revolving light show as the water cascades smoothly across the face of the swimming pool’s dramatic 5-foot walls.
